Do you know MSI Wind CS120? It’s a desktop counterpart to MSI’s Wind U120 netbook. As such, it sports about the same inner components, including a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N230 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, Intel GMA950 graphics, and built-in Wi-Fi. Since it’s a nettop, and it’s not necessary that it become portable, MSI included a slot-loading DVD burner, 7.1 channel audio, and a total of six USB ports instead of just the usual three. The MSI Wind CS120 nettop is now available from Amazon for less than $320 USD.

How would you like your own little R2-D2 droid chasing you through the hallways of your battle-cruiser... er, I mean house?

Here’s one way to make sure that your desk stays organized. The main essentials of a desk are typically a task light and an organizer for all the random stuff that you need on the desk. Well this does both, as well as have a dock and speakers so that you can listen to your music. If for some reason you can’t play your iPod on your computer, this would make for a handy solution. Then you could relax listening to your favorite music and hopefully get a little work/schoolwork done.

Wireless headphones offer freedom to roam a short distance from your digital audio source and still enjoy quality sound. One of the newest of these types of devices to surface is the DigiFi Opera wireless headphones, priced around $98.
The DigiFi Opera wireless headphones consist of a tethered set of earbuds and a wireless transmitter which plugs into any audio device sporting a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The earbuds, once turned on, connect wirelessly to the transmitter, allowing for a CD-quality sound experience up to ten meters away.
The Opera headphones use 2.4GHz wireless technology, let up to four sets of compatible headphones sync with the transmitter and offer up to ten hours of rechargeable battery life. These headphones are available now and more information can be found on them at the product Web site. [via SlashGear]

LG Display has introduced a new LCD panel that can be illuminated by sunlight when outdoors instead of the backlight. The LCD is 14.1 inches and will be installed in select notebook PCs.
The LCD panel uses "backlight data signal switching technology," which means the backlight panels can be switched between reflective mode in sunlight to transmissive mode indoors, by hitting a button. When the outdoor mode is in use, energy consumption falls by 75% compared to the indoor mode, significantly extending the life of a computer battery.
The company claims that the visibility is excellent in the outdoor setting with a contrast ratio of 9:1.
I can't say that I find myself using my laptop outside very often (and I can't think of anyone I know who does), so users would have to make a point of taking advantage of the power saving technology. Maybe you could use the outdoor setting while sitting near a window? It's still a neat upgrade for LCD panels, but increasing indoor efficiency seems to be of more pressing concern.
LG Display is debuting the panel at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009. There's no word yet of which PCs will take advantage of the new technology.
